Prayer Guide - 22 March 2020

We are in abnormal times. Unprecedented times in fact.

We would not have thought that the spread of the virus would mean we are unable to gather together. Yet there are some things we can do:

Prayer. Pray for one another. Pray for our church.

Be Devout. Spend more time than usual in the word of God. Please! I beg you,

do this! Our times are in His hand, let us use our time to study Jesus. We will

not become more like Jesus, if we do not spend time in the word of God

learning about Him. Increase your devotional time.

Talk! Pick up the phone. Do not wait for someone to ring you, ring them!

Church online. Stay in touch by following our Sunday services online. It does not replace meeting together, but it does keep us in the word, continuity of the

word, and give some pointers to the elements of a worship service.

Read and pray over Psalm 12.

Psalm 12

The Faithful Have Vanished

To the choirmaster: according to The Sheminith. A Psalm of David.

[1] Save, O LORD, for the godly one is gone; for the faithful have vanished from

among the children of man.

[2] Everyone utters lies to his neighbour; with flattering lips and a double heart

they speak.

[3] May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that makes great boasts,

[4] those who say, “With our tongue we will prevail, our lips are with us; who is

master over us?”

[5] “Because the poor are plundered, because the needy groan, I will now

arise,” says the LORD; “I will place him in the safety for which he longs.”

[6] The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the

ground, purified seven times.

[7] You, O LORD, will keep them; you will guard us from this generation forever.

[8] On every side the wicked prowl, as vileness is exalted among the children of

man.
